Lets Play cricket on coming Sat Oct 2nd , at Esienhower park , Field2 or 4. we will start the game by 8:30 AM.. pls try to be there asap. weather is also very nice, Sunny day..

as this one may be our last game for this season...

Hi All,

Please try be there at ground by 7:45 AM and help us in setting up the mat, and please do not leave the ground after your batting. And help us to remove the mat also. As few people are leaving after their batting is done, If you want to leave early then, we are requesting you people to come early and help us in setting up the mat, lets start the game by 8 or 8:15 AM.

Sat 21st Cricket

Lets try to start the game by 8 AM sharp. Be there at ground B/W 7 30Am to7 45 Am, so that we can seperate the teams and start playing by 8AM. And we will play a long game 20- 20
And as you guys know we are playing on half mat and there wont be much effort to set up the mat..
Few people came very late last saturday and did not get chance to play. So please come early and n'joy the game. we dont want that to happen again.
We need new volunteers to setup and wrap up the game, so if you have not volunteered before please try this time to either setup or remove the mat.

Cricket Schedule for Saturday July 31st, 2010 has changed to 7:30AM due to the nice weather in the morning and people wanting to play longer game.

Show up or miss the game.

Last Saturday we played on full mat with leather ball for the first time and we had fun. The temperature was way too high and we had less players(9). Since preparation to playing on mat takes longer our game started later than usual and most of our energy drained out way too early.


Things we need to prepare for next game

1. Start early to set up the mat.

2. Have snacks and refreshments on the ground.

3. Have the next batsman all ready to play so that we do not waste time between batsmen.

4. Get more players to show up.

As you may know some of us went ahead and made a modest investment to get Canon cricket to a more advance level. We are now behind in covering up that investment and looking towards your generous donations as our sponsors and dire fans.

Below is a brief details of our expenses and collection as of July 27, 2010.

Till now we spent $660, planning to spend another $400 for the half mat and raise fund for snacks and refreshments.

This cricket season has been going great and we had players requesting to take this game to the next level.

So, we would like to take a moment to see if we have enough interest of playing cricket with leather ball on mat wearing pads and gloves.

Please vote and let us know your thoughts by tomorrow. Based on the feedback we receive, we will try to arrange playing cricket with leather ball this Saturday, otherwise we play as usual this Saturday.

If there is good amount of interest,dedication and donations we would go ahead and make arrangements so that we can play cricket with all the equipment necessary.


Things you need to consider:
1. Total equipment cost will be around $1000.00 so we all have to share ($100 per person).
2. Once you invest, you need to commit more time and effort in coming to the ground so that we can play with good number of players.
3. Playing cricket with leather ball will take longer time than we are used to, because setting the mat and putting things back will take more time.
4. Consider fitness and injury risk.
